By Amanda Kirby

It is possible to make money blogging, as long as one of two main business models are used. The first method is by selling advertising packages to a variety of companies that are attracted by the potential of the blog's readership. Another mean is to use the blog to promote a certain product and then allow readers to mentally connect the product with the blog. Both these methods can be money makers, at least if the blogger is fairly good with marketing.

Either one of these methods can potentially be a money maker, given that the blogger has some marketing skills.

If your goal is to find companies that are willing to advertise on your site, you can either hire someone to do the work, or you can foot it yourself. Some bloggers in the first group take advantage of the possibility of selling space through Google's Adsense program. This method is one of the top favorites among bloggers, since they virtually have to do nothing to generate revenue. However, it is a common fact for many people to not make as much money on their blogs as they had initially envisioned.

If you can sell banner ads and sponsored links to companies, you can make a considerable amount of money. If you have a large network of companies selling products in the field of the blog, this could be the right mean for you. If a person has strong sales skills and can successfully pitch a business proposal, can generate quite a revenue selling advertising space to companies. However, this last method usually requires a strong readership, so it might take a few months of building up before you can attract sponsors and make money.

Since blogging holds the potential for being a money maker, many companies are paying attention. Selecting blogs that offer a friendly look for their corporation is what many companies are speculating on. Many companies are following the trend of hiring professional bloggers to boost their image. Many writer who never thought they could create a revenue blogging, are now finding out that certain companies are willing to pay for their services.
