4 Article Marketing Questions You've Always Wanted The Answers To

By James Kupe

Using article marketing to promote your business is one of the most effective link building strategies ever. There's not a lot of ways left to get a large number of 'real' links pointing back to your website without getting your site banned from Google. But promoting your business with articles is probably as real as you can get.

But having said that, there are problems you need to be aware of. In this article, I'll answer 4 of the top questions people ask about article marketing so you know where you stand.

Question 1 - Is submitting identical articles to lots of article directories going to get me into trouble for using duplicate content?

There is a possibly of this, but don't worry about it. If it was such a big problem, then news sites would never get ranked for running the same stories as everyone else. The fact is the same news article can be found thousands of times online, so it's really a non-issue.By distributing good articles, you will get good quality links back from article directories in return, and that's what you are looking for.

Question 2 - Can I use the articles from my own website and just use them for article directories without having problems?

You should never submit the exact same content from your website to an article directory. You should always re-write the articles from your site to make them unique and then submit those articles to article directories so they are different to the content on your site.

Question 3 - Should I write and submit as many articles as I possibly can to the maximum number of article directories?

The best way to get maximum leverage from article marketing is to get incoming links from as many different websites as you can. A good way to do that is to find an article submission service that also spins your articles which makes each one relatively unique, and then use that service to submit your articles to directories for you.

Question 4 - Will my resource box stay intact so I get credit when people take my article to use on their sites, and is article theft a big problem?

Unfortunately not all people are going to play by the rules. You can always check to see if people are removing your resource box by using Google to look for unique phrases from your articles. Just check the results that come up to see if people have left your resource boxes intact, and if they haven't you can do something about it if you want to.

The Main Thing To Remember: You shouldn't be too worried about things you have no control over. Just focus on the things you CAN control. Write a bunch of informative, helpful articles and send people to an optin form using your resource box. You'll be building a list and getting backlinks as well. And after all, that's really what we're looking for isn't it?
